Andrea French – My Experience with Work-Based Distance Learning

My experience with WBDL could not be better, since day one I have being offered great support. The admin team is absolutely fantastic and will help you with anything, and if they don’t know the answer, they will get back to you.  I had fantastic tutors who really went the extra mile, not only helping me out but also showing me “how to fish” they would not give you the answers, but they will help you think and find the way to be successful.

I could not leave out specific thanks to Stuart Donald (he is an Avengers in replies), Phil Nice (who was always available for Skype and has helped me through the module I found most difficult, guiding me and opening my eyes, making the module very enjoyable), also a big thank you to Alison Henesey for all the weekends that she spend teaching me how to be a critical writer, the writing support was really a life changer for me. Even if WBDL is a learning distance the feeling I had was that they were always there when I needed, like a family, they don’t need to be by your side all the time, but you know you can count on them.

I have made good friends with our WhatsApp group and we did support each other through ups and downs. Finally, I am so proud of myself for being accepted at the University of Lincoln and for making it all the way, it wasn’t easy, however I can do all this through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). Thank you WBDL for make my dream come through.
