LIBS Signs Partnership Agreement with BRAC University, Bangladesh

Lincoln International Business School (LIBS), led by Dr Craig Marsh, held a virtual partnership signing ceremony with BRAC University.

The signing, on Wednesday 24th of February, culminated from a huge team collaboration with notable contributions from Robyn Shreeve and Phil Sawyer, whose managing of the process was crucial to our successful completion of the partnership agreement.

The partnership comes from a visit to BRAC by Head of LIBS International, David Rugara, and Regional Academic Lead,  Mahfuzur Rahman, in early 2020.

During the visit, they were impressed with BRAC’s ethos, commitment to sustainability, along with their potential for growth. BRAC is ranked 301-400th in THE Impact Rankings 2020 and 271-280 in the QS Asia University Rankings.

BRAC University is a higher education affiliate of BRAC which is an International charity and development organisation working for the improvement of human rights and social empowerment, education and health, livelihood, and environmental and disaster preparedness in Bangladesh and many countries of the world.

Bangladesh is proving to be a growing market and the University of Lincoln is already recording increased student applications from the region. The agreement gives opportunities for BRAC students to complete their undergraduate studies at LIBS. There are also further arrangements for students to progress into Postgraduate Teaching Master’s programmes.

David Rugara, commented: “Our partnership with BRAC presents exciting opportunities for research, faculty and student mobility collaborations which sit well within our core institutional values and international strategy.

“This represents a valuable addition to our global partnership network with positive effect on our student recruitment and increased diversity in the classroom.

“In line with fostering student global mindedness, this partnership agreement opens up a new region for us and our students at LIBS.”
