LIBS Senior Lecturer on the Airwaves in the Channel Islands

Accountancy and Finance academic, James Wright, was recently invited onto BBC Channel Islands radio to discuss the UK university sector, online teaching and student well-being during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

James, who met BBC representatives at a local community event in 2020, was invited to discuss higher education along with raising the profile of Lincoln and the University with an audience of islanders and those further afield.

Following the experience, James commented: “It’s a pleasure to be invited to speak and contribute on the radio show, supporting students, families and the community in these challenging times.

“It was a privilege to have the chance to highlight the resilient work of the University of Lincoln staff in supporting students and having an opportunity to pay tribute to the inspiring work of two colleagues who sadly passed away in 2020, Nick Taylor and Clive Kettley.”
