Catriona Hyde BFP ACA has been elected as President for ICAEW Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln.

ICAEW Chartered Accountant Catriona is Senior Lecturer in Accountancy and Finance at the Lincoln International Business School at the University of Lincoln. She began her career in Audit at Deloitte LLP and KPMG LLP and holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Law. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has a PGCHE from the University of Lincoln.

Catriona’s role as President will focus on supporting over 3,000 fellow ICAEW Chartered Accountants in the local area, and on building close connections with and between members and their networks. She will lead on developing new and innovative initiatives and events, particularly aimed at those new to the profession or who have recently qualified.

ICAEW Nottingham, Derby and Lincoln plays an important role in supporting members to address the unprecedented challenges facing the accountancy profession and businesses, such as digitalisation, modernisation of tax systems and Brexit. It also plays an important role in facilitating networking for local professionals through its series of events, seminars and initiatives.

Speaking of her appointment, Catriona commented: “It is a fantastic honour to be elected President and to be able to represent chartered accountants in the area. I look forward to working with our members to ensure that they have the support and information that they need, particularly as the local area recovers from the impact of Covid-19.”
