Successful UNESCO Symposium

Lincoln University’s UNESCO Chair on Responsible Foresight for Sustainable Development marked its own celebration of the World Future’s Day by holding a symposium on the 24th of November. The online symposium featured short presentations from some of the active partnerships and projects related to Lincoln’s UNESCO Chair. There were two time slots to accommodate global participants, one at 0900 UTC and one at 1400 UTC.

There were five presentations in the morning and four in the afternoon. Partners were from India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Kenya, Nigeria, Mexico, Illinois and Uruguay, who all had actively participated in the presentations of their respective projects with Lincoln UNESCO Chair members.

News of the confirmation of the renewal of the Chair was applauded by the participants of the symposium, the majority of whom were from institutions in the Global South working with colleagues from the UNESCO Chair group at LIBS.
