LIBS has achieved its next milestone en route to AACSB accreditation

The Business School’s Accreditation Team is delighted to announce that on the 11th February, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, (AACSB), approved LIBS’ latest milestone on the path to AACSB accreditation.

Under the direction of Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Craig Marsh, the Business School began the multi-year process of AACSB accreditation in 2019 in collaboration with mentor Dr Murray Dalziel, Dean of the Merrick School of Business, University of Baltimore. Our most recent submission, an annual report of progress, was accepted by the AACSB International Accreditation Committee this month. The Accreditation Team believe that there are now no significant gaps in our meeting AACSB standards, and the next stage, in late 2023, is likely to be a formal request for a Peer Review Team to be formed, representing the final stage of our journey to full accreditation.  It represents a culmination of collaboration and hard work by many contributors across the Business School and wider University.

Craig Marsh comments,

“AACSB-accredited schools are considered to be the best business schools in the world, delivering programmes that have passed rigorous standards for quality. With less than 6% of global Business Schools having AACSB accreditation this recognition will help boost Lincoln’s desirability to future students and high quality staff.  My sincere thanks to all who have worked so hard to enable us to have successfully reached this stage of our accreditation journey”
