Reaction to Global Shocks: Risk, Resilience and Recovery

On the 18th and 19th February, the Lincoln International Business School in collaboration with the Heritage Business School India delivered a virtual international conference entitled  ‘How firms and institutions react to global shocks: Risk, Resilience, and Recovery’

The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony to signify purity, goodness, good luck and power with the presence of the light opposing darkness and negativity. The conference included insightful discussions with viewpoints from very high-profile academics from India, the United Kingdom, Bangladesh and Russia.

Organised by Dr Shrabani Saha, Associate Professor of Development Economics and Prof Simon Lilley, Director of Research from the Lincoln International Business School and Prof Anup Kr Sinha, Chief Mentor of Heritage Business School and Chairman of Bandhan Bank, India and Dr Rimu Chaudhuri, the conference saw over 100 global participants attend on each of the two days.  Very positive feedback has been received by both Business Schools, along with coverage in three regional languages across Indian media.

Thanks to the successful event, Professor Anup Sinha is interested in pursuing future formal collaborations with Lincoln International Business School. Pro Vice Chancellor and Director of the Business School, Dr Craig Marsh commented

“I’m so pleased the event went well and it is my sincere hope that through the success of the conference closer collaboration will develop between our two Schools
