LIBS Academic Article on Resilience of Solo-self Employed Published on CMI

Lincoln International Business School Associate Lecturer, Magdalena Read, has recently been published on the CMI website.

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is the Chartered Body for Management and Leadership. For over 70 years, the CMI have worked with business and education to inspire people to become skilled, confident and successful managers and leaders.

Magdalena’s article, co authored by Nnamdi O. Madichie, ‘Life of a Lone Ranger: What makes or breaks the solo self-employed?’ gives a broad overview on what to watch out for when thinking of becoming solo self-employed and encourages debate from practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholder groups.

Magdalena said: “I am delighted to have co-authored this article that is published at the CMI website.

“It already generated some interest from fellow researchers, practitioners, service providers and policy-makers, to look at the issues being highlighted, which is the main objective of this research.

“As one practitioner commented, this article has ‘certainly open up a number of avenues for further research.’

“I therefore encourage fellow researchers to join me in researching issues that matters most to the community and make a difference.”
