Dr Rahman Celebrates Published Book Chapter

Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Senior Lecturer from the department of Accountancy, Finance and Economics, within the Lincoln International Business School, has recently had his first book chapter published.

The work, written in conjunction with Dr Morsaline Billah, entitled: “The Tragic Death of Altab Ali and the Beginning of Confrontation against Racism and Fascism” can be located within the book: Migration Practice as Creative Practice: An Interdisciplinary Exploration of Migration presents.

Dr Dieu Hack-Polay, a fellow LIBS colleague and Lead Editor, extended an invitation to Mahfuzur to join the editorial team comprising Ali Mahmoud, Dr Agnieszka Rydzik. Dr Paul Igwe and Dr. Gary Bosworth.

Dr Rahman comments: “Although Altab Ali was one of pioneers for anti-racism protests in the UK, his contribution was missing in the academic books or journals.

“I was inspired by Ali’s influence to develop a multicultural society, and believe that the contents and findings of the chapter clearly support the spirit of zero tolerance on racism.”
