ICAEW Foundation Awards Accountancy and Finance Student Scholarship

Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Foundation awards Lincoln International Business School student, Cameron Lynn, a financial scholarship to aid his studies.

Cameron, who is studying Accountancy, will be awarded a total of £12,000 in instalments over three years of study.

He was selected following an application where he demonstrated his potential to excel at degree level. At the end of each academic year, Cameron will submit a summary of how the scholarship has assisted him with his studies to the ICAEW.

Cameron was delighted to hear of his award commenting. He said: “I feel very fortunate to be given this opportunity. Before receiving the news, I was planning on working close to full-time hours along with my studies to ensure I could fund all the resources required for my time at University.

“This grant will enable me to work far less hours with less stress, and allow me more time to concentrate on my studies and produce the best work I possibly can.”

Catriona Hyde, Senior Lecturer of Accountancy and Finance, added: “I’m delighted that Cameron is able to benefit from this scholarship.

“By offering opportunities such as this, the ICAEW Foundation are providing a variety of pathways and opening up opportunities to access higher education.

“As a department, we look forward to working with Cameron to ensure he succeeds his potential academically as well as providing a fulfilling and memorable student experience.”
