Wealth Management and Financial Industry Experts Inspire Accountancy, Finance and Economics Students

On the 21st November, staff and Postgraduate students from the Lincoln International Business School (LIBS) welcomed professionals from the Portfolio Management Team at wealth management and financial advice firm, Brewin Dolphin.

During an insightful discussion, the industry experts and students covered topics such as portfolio management, the financial sector job market, building a professional network, boosting CVs and tips for standing out at an interview.

One of the visitors, Ben Garbett, is a LIBS Alumnus having studied both a BA in Accountancy and Finance and an MSc in International Investment Banking at the Business School.  He shared his professional journey, including the challenges he faced when applying for jobs and how his qualifications from the University of Lincoln helped him succeed.
