LIBS Celebrates Business’ Success at the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards

On Friday 12th May, Acting Head of the Lincoln International Business School (LIBS), Professor Simon Lilley attended the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards, sponsored by the University of Lincoln.

The event, held at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe, was a celebration of the dynamic business community the north of our region has to offer as well as the successes of enterprising individuals.

Aligning with the university’s civic mission and commitment to championing our business community, and given the close ties LIBS has with the business world, Simon was pleased to present the Small Business of the Year award to winning firm, Victor Finance, on the University’s behalf.

Speaking after the event, Simon added:

It was a pleasure to attend the North Lincolnshire Business Awards with colleagues from Research and Enterprise and the wider university, alongside prominent members of the local business community. It was my privilege to present the University of Lincoln Small Business of the Year award at the ceremony to worthy recipients, Victor Finance. A fine time was had by all, with a particular highlight being the after-dinner entertainment in which professional members of the cast of Les Miserables were joined on stage by aspiring performers from Grimsby, who all looked as if they were having as much fun as the audience
