Integrating Competencies and Soft Skills into Education Talk

Dr. Nadia Gulko from the Department of Accountancy, Finance, and Economics had the pleasure of welcoming Anna Howard from the AICPA&CIMA (USA) to Lincoln International Business School  to deliver a talk on “Integrating Competencies and Soft Skills into Education”.

The event commenced with a Q&A session followed by an open conversation with colleagues on the following topics:

  • Competencies and soft skills essential for accounting and business professionals to develop.
  • Evolving expectations of the accounting industry regarding competencies and soft skills.
  • Empowering students to become creative graduates with global, inclusive mindsets, a strong sense of personal and social responsibility.
  • Integrating skills development into education and what an effective integration means.
  • Classroom resources for educators.
  • Challenges and opportunities in the future of accounting and business education.

The event was recorded and will be of interest to accounting and non-accounting faculty and PhD students pursuing a career in academia.
