Working with the International Bomber Command Centre

Here at the Community for Organisational Resilience we’re so lucky to collaborate with people from a wide variety of organisations – all of whom aim to make the place they work a little better. Whether it’s a student/academic partnership project, the Help to Grow scheme or an active research community project, every day brings us something new to explore and new contacts to add to our networks.

Today we’re giving a shout out to Chris Roberts, Operations Manager at The International Bomber Command Centre, (IBCC) and Stuart Armsworth, Mental Health and Productivity Pilot, (MHPP) Engagement Manager from the University of Lincoln! They are working together under a MHPP project to assist IBCC in becoming an EVEN better place to work. Part of the project is analysing the partner’s data, creating a wellbeing and mental health plan and then supporting them in the implementation and assessing the impact. When people are happy and healthy at work, everyone benefits. A healthy workforce contributes to healthier relationships, communities with organisational resilience bolstering the growth of our region and the economy.

“Our team of staff and volunteers are the bedrock of the project and, as such, deserve to have the very best support from the Board and senior team.  They continually deliver to high level, sometimes under trying circumstances, and so we are delighted to be working with the Community for Organisational Resilience to provide additional and essential support frameworks.” Mrs Nicky van der Drift – CEO, Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial and International Bomber Command Centre.

About IBCC

The International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) is a world-class facility with the purpose of serving as a point for recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for Bomber Command. Providing the most comprehensive record of the Command in the world, the IBCC ensures that generations to come can learn of their vital role in protecting the freedom we enjoy today. The IBCC project also covers the stories of those who suffered as a result of the bombing campaigns and those whose survival was guaranteed by the humanitarian operations of Bomber Command.
