Lincoln International Business School Nominates Two Degree Apprentices to Win the ‘Lincolnshire Apprentice Champion 2022’ Award

The Lincoln International Business School has nominated two of our wonderful degree apprentices; Gail Jackson -Chief Executive Officer of Solving Kids Cancer UK and Adrian Selby -Assistant Director of Commercial & Operational Services at West Lindsey District Council to win the ‘Lincolnshire Apprentice Champion 2022’ award. As part of National Apprenticeship Week, organisations in Lincolnshire launched a countywide Apprenticeship Champion Awards programme; ‘The Lincolnshire Apprenticeship Champion Awards 2022’. Gail and Adrian who have both recently graduated from our Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship were nominated to acknowledge and celebrate their efforts and great success.

As part of Adrian’s nomination form, Ian – Chief Executive of West Lindsey District Council commented:

I have not seen a person grow in confidence, knowledge and ability so much as I have seen in Ady. He has really made the transition from team manager to a senior leader over the time of the apprenticeship developing the ability to see the strategic needs of the organisation whilst still linking back to operational delivery. Doing this whilst being a father to two young daughters is an amazing feat.’

Gail’s colleague, Gemma said:

Gail has developed immeasurably over the period of her apprenticeship and is the driving force behind the positive change within Solving Kids’ Cancer over the last few years. Her contribution has been immense and we would not be the thriving organisation we are without her calm, caring, yet bold leadership, which has been so clearly defined by her knowledge gained through her apprenticeship MBA.

Gail deserves every bit of recognition for the amazing job she does everyday and has done tirelessly whilst also working extremely hard to achieve her distinction in her MBA’.
