At the international conference on higher education teaching learning pedagogy and assessment, held in London on the 17th and 18th of August 2023, the paper by LIBS academics Barry Ardley, Abi Hunt and Nick Taylor, titled Learners as Consultants: Knowledge Acquisition and Client Organizations -A Student as Producer Case Study, was given the best paper award by the organizing committee.
The paper examines how LIBsS tutors systematically used the student as producer model to deliver successful consultancy services to local organisation’s based in the Lincoln visitor economy, where learners took on the role of business advisers.
In addition, Barry Ardley has just won an award for Outstanding Reviewer in the 2023 Emerald Literati Awards, selected by the editorial team of Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. I have just received the email.
