International MSc Alumni Secures Marketing Internship

Congratulations to Yongpian Cai, an MSc Events Management alumni from the Lincoln International Business School, who has secured her first Master’s related paid post as a graduate.

As an international student, Yongpian is very proud of not only achieving her higher education in the UK, but also to have secured an internship relevant to her career aspirations.

Being aware of the potential implications of the global pandemic, and the recently announced recession in the UK, Yongpian wanted to advise and enable other graduates in achieving their dream job, regardless of external factors. Therefore, Yongpian has written a very helpful blog post providing her experiences, along with top tips!

Yongpian comments: “I am very pleased to accept my first internship as a marketing intern in the UK.

“As a postgraduate in MSc Events Management, I have not only received events planning education but also built up my interests in digital marketing.

“Many of my friends from my home country would like to study and work in the UK, therefore, this blog is intended to give them an accurate portrayal as a recent graduate of top tips to help you in your job search!”

Robyn Shreeve, International Academic Partnerships Officer, praises Yongpian: “Throughout her studies, Yongpian has always gone the extra mile to develop her understanding and to seek out opportunities to develop her skillset, we are not surprised that she has has achieved this graduate position but we are very proud nonetheless.

“This position will provide her with an invaluable experience and enable her to build upon all that she has learned during her studies and numerous extra-curricular activities – she might even find a way to incorporate her love of dance!

“By taking the time to write this blog piece, Yongpian not only advises other young people on the benefits of studying abroad but also provides real-life insight into how others can achieve their dream job with some hard work and determination.”
