Business Economics student Georgina Miles is celebrating being a top ten finalist for the national Management Undergraduate of the Year Awards, with the winner being announced at the London ceremony on the 29th April.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car are the award partner for Management Undergraduate of the Year and Georgina has been selected out of hundreds of applicants via an online application and psychometric tests. Nominees undertook a series of interviews and an assessment centre designed to mirror the application process for either placement or graduate-scheme jobs. The assessment centre started with a networking lunch, followed by three tasks of various work-based scenarios and an interview, all designed to test the skills, knowledge and expertise of candidates.
Georgina prepared thoroughly for the assessment, drawing upon pertinent examples of her exemplary leadership, organisational and communication skills. As a student who has participated in a variety of extra-curricular activities, she had a plethora of examples to draw upon.
Georgina is delighted to attend the forthcoming award ceremony, “it will be a great opportunity to network with both Enterprise staff and fellow students. The whole experience has been a great insight into the application process, whilst giving me the invaluable opportunity of connecting with such a variety of people which really facilitated the expansion of my network and skillset”
In addition to the awards ceremony, Georgina is also looking forward to the 2022-2023 academic year where she will be placement at Airbus working for Lean Business Management. Having a keen interest in economics and with her sights set on a career in management and owning her own business, Georgina has worked hard at developing her educational and professional portfolio and seizing opportunities that enhance her employability.
Staff and fellow students at the Lincoln International Business School wish Georgina all the very best for the award finals on the 29th April and a fantastic work placement year.
