Academic Excellence Winners 2023 – Marketing, Languages & Tourism

The Department of Marketing, Languages and Tourism held the latest edition of the Academic Excellence Competition aimed at recognising, promoting and rewarding exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate student work. More than 20 entries were received this year and 7 students were received the award. This year’s winners are:

Marketing

  • Courtney Spencer (year 1) for her outstanding creativity and insightful scholarly analysis.
  • Lucy Smith (year 2) for her outstanding level of insight, in-depth analysis and innovative use of media.
  • Bradley Finch (year 3) for his exceptional use of theory, critical thinking and innovation.
  • Zoe Robinson (Postgraduate) for her exceptional understanding of theory and practical application.

Tourism

  • Caitlin Harris (year 1) for her exceptional research skills, excellent insight and multidisciplinary analysis.
  • Matt Robertson (year 2) for his excellent critical argumentation and in-depth understanding of the field.Fred Verity (year 3) for his research-driven analysis of nuanced consumer practices.Sakura Mochizuki (Postgraduate) for her exceptional piece of research with a well thought-through execution.
